Marissa Kimmel is a photographer, mama and homemaker who is making the best out of her world. She was diagnosed with Alopecia when she was 9 years old. She decided to shave her head when she was 19. After having her son, she was told she carried the BRCA1 gene which gave her the high risk of Breast and Ovarian Cancer. She decided to have a preventative mastectomy in February of 2021. She shares her journey with social media. Not only to remind others that we are never alone in our differences but also to remind herself.
